Dawadi Rajendra, a sharp-minded teacher in Nepal’s Trishuli Valley, managed to save more than 900 lives because of his decision to ring the school bell and order an immediate evacuation to safer grounds mere seconds before the destructive floods caused by the collapse of a Himalayan glacier washed away his entire school. The natural calamity has led to the death of 900 individuals and has rendered another 4,700 people missing from Nepal and China while more than 69 schools have been destroyed in the process.
